following

I am a leader... in my home, in my marriage, at my work... at one time, in the church (though no more) but I need to follow before I can lead. I realize that though I may have claimed to be a Jesus follower for many years, I have only pretty much only done what I wanted to do...

If I am going to really lead, not just be the leader, but really lead, I need to learn to be a better follower... Jesus' disciples followed him for over three years and still had quite a bit of learning to do when it came to their leadership roles.

I want to try and examine Jesus' leadership methods, his management style, and try to begin to pattern my efforts after his example.

I wonder how many examples we could find of Jesus' followership style?!

If this is even thought about, I believe you are a follower of Him..... Perhaps if more people followed Him, you would be a better leader, but you are a leader.

The old saying of Lead, Follow, or Get out of the way,....often getting out of the way for the sin in this world is needed, and stepping back to Follow Him a bit deeper is made by Him persuing us to a deeper level, by leaving a place, position, and seeking His face. Your leading by example, not by leading in a church, but by the life you live.

I know you have heard "crucified with Christ." but it is also "alive in Him" and you are an awesome work.
